I woke up this morning to the sound of this song drifting in from the living room. As I slowly became more alert and the final verse played, I called out to Jaclyn, "I cannot relate to this song on ANY level."

Day 125
Given the okay by his pediatrician, today marked Miles's first encounter with solid(ish) food. Mixed with some good, home-grown boobie juice, we attempted to feed Miles some of that baby oatmeal I was wondering about the other day. The results were...well...see for yourself.
Day 124
Shaking hands with the creator. *Cinematography by Abraham Zapruder.
Day 123
Ruling the galaxy as father and son.
Day 122
With Miles's advancement in size, we've had to bid farewell to his bassinet in favor of a larger space in which to sleep. Something more...cage-like (hey, he'll be crawling any day now!). We've given the Pack 'n' Play a couple tries already, and Miles has slept in it with no problem. He's also clearly already … Continue reading Day 122
Day 121
Miles, somehow, is four months old (!) today, and in honor of this occasion, we sent him back to the pediatrician for more shots. But let's not dwell on that -- how about some more important stats? Miles is now 13 pounds and has grown two inches since his last appointment! Despite his chunky appearance, … Continue reading Day 121
Day 120
Miles has now met Pooh Bear, and this video perfectly captures his reaction when meeting anyone new: 1) size up, 2) make whale noises, 3) touch, 4) attempt to devour.
Day 119: A Sort-of Review of Hereditary
Today, Jaclyn and I made our second baby-free excursion of the weekend, ducking out to see Hereditary, the recent release about a mother who experiences a psychotic break because her daughter won't stop making a clicking sound with her tongue (or so I gathered from the trailer). Also, at some point a human catches on … Continue reading Day 119: A Sort-of Review of Hereditary
Day 118
Today was the first weekend day in what feels like forever that was almost completely free of social obligations and engagements. Given Jaclyn's growing separation anxiety, this couldn't have come at a better time, as it gave both of us a chance to spend some quality time with Miles. Of course, we were both really, … Continue reading Day 118
Day 117
It's no secret that Jaclyn misses Miles a lot during the day, so when she has an after-work function to attend, she gets even more restless. Fortunately, I'm around to take care of her motherly needs as best I can.
