Year 3, Day 197

We were barely a quarter mile from the house this morning when Miles said something that almost made me screech to a halt.

“It a octagon!”

…what? Surely I heard that wrong.

“What did you say, buddy?”

“It a octagon, daddy!”

We had just passed a stop sign, true, but…come on. Could my two-year-old already identify an eight-sided figure?

As we continued driving, I quizzed him. “What other shapes do you see?”

As we passed signs, he said, “Triangle!” “Circle!” And then, at the next stop sign. “And there a octagon again!”

So…yep. He knows his shapes.
