We always encourage Miles to “play nice” and use “nice hands,” knowing that as he navigates the early stages of social interaction he may be more inclined to use physicality to express himself rather than words or simple gestures.
Well today one of the teachers at Miles’s daycare characterized him as a “boxer.” Now, he doesn’t get many “bad” reports from daycare, and I’m sure the other kids there are experiencing the same challenges he is in terms of engaging with one another, but I can’t shake the image of Miles being the scrapper in his class. He must’ve inherited that trait from his mom.
