In the last week, we’ve seen Miles start climbing to his feet, standing unassisted, bending over and picking up objects, and — of course — walking. This has sent Miles at long last from the infant room at daycare to the toddler room, and today saw him reach the final milestone in his journey to becoming a biped. As of this morning, Miles is officially finished with physical therapy.
He’s still got a ways to go before he fully finds his footing, and he’s still more into the speed and perceived efficiency of crawling, but it’s amazing to have seen just how quickly and willingly he shifted towards walking once he got the practice to feel more confident about it. And yet, even though his therapist has been great, I’m sure Miles is plenty eager to be done with that part of his life!
