Year 2, Day 73

At daycare this morning, I tried to set Miles down on the floor so he could start crawling around and playing with the other kids, but something different happened this time. Where he usually lifts his legs up and refuses to lower them until his butt is firmly planted on the ground, today he not only kept his legs lowered, but stiffened them, reached out to grab a nearby ledge, and allowed himself to be deposited in a standing position, free of tears and objection. It’s a minor feat, but could represent another major shift we’ve been looking for throughout Operation: Babywalk.
