I’ve written previously about Chris and Laura Samnee’s absolutely delightful comic series Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters, the first monthly book that I (a lifelong comic reader) was able to share with Miles. The story recently concluded in the twelfth and final issue, and it was a bittersweet experience reading it with him, knowing it was the end of the road for these characters. While there are other books we’ll move onto next (Andy Runton’s Owly is on the docket), Miles had a hard time accepting that Jonna was over, especially given where the final pages left things, with Jonna chasing a flying bug through her village.
