Year 5, Day 305

After our drive back from Myrtle Beach yesterday, we were all exhausted by the time we arrived home. We grabbed some dinner and fell asleep quickly after that. When I woke up this morning, we were all still in bed, and Miles, as he often does, had come into our bedroom and joined us at some point during the early morning. He was curled up next to me (not inadvertently kicking me in the kidneys for once) and it was so comfortable that it’s no wonder I completely slept through my alarm. Miles coming in, curling up next to us in bed. Yeah, I had to spring out of bed a bit quicker than I would’ve preferred for a couple reasons, but if I’m ever going to miss the wake-up call, these are the best circumstances for it to happen.
