I picked up the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection for Nintendo Switch last week, and with all the time he’s spent playing Shredder’s Revenge with me, it should come as no surprise that Miles was overjoyed to find we now had THIRTEEN more Turtles games to play, including the very game that vexed him during our recent trip to Super Abari.
Turtles in Time was the big focus this weekend, and to say Miles “got into it” is a bit of an understatement. By the time we reached the end of the second level, and the boss battle with Metalhead, Miles’s trash-talking game was already coming along. “I’m gonna make sure your life is a bad life!” he declared as he beat the tar out of the level boss.
And, by virtue of this version being one we could enjoy in our home, Miles was also able to do something else he hadn’t demonstrated when we played at Abari — we finished the game, making the arcade version of Turtles in Time the first video game Miles and I have played in its entirety together.
