Miles’s love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is well documented. I get it, I love them too. I’ve got a big soft spot tracing back to my younger days for those storied heroes in a half-shell. But there are different degrees of fandom. Some people buy toys, posters, games, and other products adorned with or sponsored by their heroes. Others have turned to ill-advised surgeries to make them look like their idols.
Now, Miles hasn’t said anything about wanting to pursue cosmetic surgery himself. No, he would prefer I do it. He informed me tonight that I needed to “get a new face” so I “look like Donatello.”
Well he’s right. I would need a new face to do that.
