Year 5, Day 156

One evening recently, when I was trying anything to find something Miles would agree to eat, I introduced him to the concept of the peanut butter and honey sandwich. He now requests the combination regularly. In fact, after finishing one I made for him today, Miles asked for a second.

“You know,” I told him, “I used to like peanut butter and honey sandwiches when I was a kid too.”

“When you’re big do you like them?” Miles asked.

“I don’t know,” I said. “I haven’t had one in a long time.”

“Well, let’s have one together!” Miles suggested.

Sounded good to me!

This photo marks the last time my sandwich was in my hand.
Miles snatched it right out of my hand, put his own sandwich down on his plate, and took a huge bite out of mine just to make sure his message was clear.
