Hosting trivia at Legion Brewing for as long as I have has made me part of the family at that fine establishment. Which means I occasionally get invited to events like tonight’s “Friends and Family” preview for their new location on Morehead St. Jaclyn and I were happy, to say the least, to make a date night out of it.
So of course we were only about five minutes from the brewery when Jaclyn’s phone rang. “Oh no,” she muttered under her breath, causing my heart to stop momentarily. What was this going to be?
It was the baby-sitter, who was calling to tell us that — I can’t believe I’m typing this — Miles had locked her out of the house. When she knocked and told him to let her back in, he simply laughed his head off on the other side of the door.
Fortunately, we have a numerical keypad on our door and can unlock it remotely as well, so there was no need to turn around and go home. But COME ON.
…locked the baby-sitter out of the house…are you serious?
