As a bedtime alternative this evening, Miles suggested that we have a family movie night. I suggested Sony Animation’s outstanding The Mitchells vs. the Machines, which Miles and I watched together last year but Jaclyn hadn’t seen, which everyone was happy with. The real entertainment, however, came about halfway through the movie, when Miles asked for some candy. Not content with my meager offerings, he asked me to bring no fewer than three candy containers over to the couch for him to rummage through. And rummage he did. After nearly an hour of indecision, he finally pulled out three Dumdum suckers.
“Three is my favorite color,” he proudly declared.
