Trying to convince Miles to go to bed almost always involves metaphorically throwing s*** at the wall and seeing what sticks. Often, the most outlandish behaviors from us provoke the best responses. Last night, Jaclyn started doing (in her words) “a silly walk” down the hallway towards him. Sometimes Miles plays along with stuff like this, but this particular walk evidently unnerved him.
“Mommy, I don’t want you to be a monster,” he said to her. “I just want you to be a mommy.”
Hey, at least he calmed down and went to bed!
