Miles came home from daycare feeling sick today, and we knew he was being authentic because the first thing he did when he got in the house was curl up under a blanket on the couch.
“What’s going on, bud?” I asked when I walked through the door.
“I’m not feelin’ very good,” he muttered.
“Do you need anything?”
“No I got all this,” he replied, indicating the cup of juice on the table.
Remembering how he helped me out last week, I asked, “What about Sick Bear? Can I get Sick Bear for you?”
“Yeah,” Miles said, as happy as he could sound under the circumstances. “You can.”
I swear, the magic in that stuffed bear he got from his Yia-Yia is potent.
