I’ve written previously about Miles’s recent nighttime challenges, which find him screaming like a damned soul on the racks of Hell as he pounds on his door (and find his mother and me unable to get a single peaceful night’s rest). What I haven’t talked about is how I’ve found him the last couple nights when I check on him right before going to bed. It seems like he’s started doing prep work to save himself the hassle of stumbling out of bed in the middle of the night:
Sleeping directly in front of the door is definitely a time-saver, but it of course makes it almost impossible to get into his room. Fortunately, I’ve been able to wedge myself in and get him back into bed (SPOILERS: it hasn’t stopped the midnight screaming).
