I got a rare treat during my trivia show at Legion Brewing last night, as Jaclyn and Miles stopped in for a little bit. It’s the first time Miles has been to a trivia show in well over a year, long enough that I don’t think he could really even remember it, which could explain why he was initially a bit freaked out to see me addressing a crowd on a microphone.
Soon enough though, Miles was really into it, giggling as he tried to get my attention from his seat. I even got him to talk into the microphone at one point (“Turn in your answers, everybody!”).
As we rode into daycare this morning, I asked him, “Hey buddy, did you like visiting me at work last night?”
“Yeah,” he replied, “because…because I missed you.”
Man…I got the best kid.
