Year 3, Day 105

When Miles merrily emerged from daycare this afternoon, I immediately noticed something was missing. His teacher preempted the question I was about to ask.

“We tried to get Miles to wear his Band-Aid, but he just kept taking it off,” she said, referring to the bandage that we’ve been keeping over his lip.

“Miles!” I said. “You know you’re going to have to put a Band-Aid on when you get home.”

“No!” he replied resolutely.

“Well your mommy is going to disagree with that,” I countered.

As we walked into the house minutes later, Miles immediately piped up and declared, “Hi, mommy! I not put on a Band-Aid!”

…it was a battle he ultimately lost.
