I’m not sure why or how this happened, but the last two nights of sleep have been better than any I can remember in the last year. I’ve written previously about how fortunate we’ve been with Miles’s propensity for slumber since his birth, but at best this still means a degree of restlessness at some point during the night. Not so this week. Everyone, even Miles’s mother — prone to tossing, turning, and sudden somnambulistic exclamations — have slept without stirring.
I suspect the descent of winter has helped with this. If so, may it never leave.
