One addendum to our Massachusetts trip — we stayed at an Airbnb our first night in Cape Cod, and our gracious host was a percussion teacher. She asked if it would bother us if she had a lesson while we were there, to which I — knowing how into it Miles was likely to be — said of course not. I had told her that Miles was already demonstrating a solid sense of rhythm, but she was still impressed when she got to see it for herself!
