Miles turned six months old yesterday, and that milestone brings with it another visit to the pediatrician. Miles is now weighing in at 15 lbs, 15 oz and is just over 26 inches long. His tactile development is coming along nicely, and we were told to expect crawling within the next three months. The doctor cautioned that it’s probably time to child-proof the apartment (which, of course, Jaclyn had already taken care of three months before the baby was even born).
The check-up went well, despite Miles’s aversion to oral medication and even greater aversion to needles. His cries upon being stuck went full supersonic, his face red and mouth open, tongue quivering even as no audible sound escaped his mouth (at least, no sound audible to human ears…dogs maybe). Mercifully, this subsided quickly once he was in Jaclyn’s arms again.
The best news to come out of the six month check-up is that Miles is now allowed to sample all sorts of finely-minced food including…MEAT. Time to take the Nuk to a Brazilian steakhouse!
