Year 4, Day 129

Today, we celebrated the Fourth of July with a visit to Birkdale Village, where a holiday festival gave Miles a chance to truly demonstrate his patriotism.

Unwilling to let anyone touch his precious face, Miles opted for “arm-painting” instead.

‘Murca!

Next, it was over the splash pad, where’s Miles’s fear of getting water in his face seemed to suddenly disappear.

Miles was, predictably, all about getting to sit in an actual fire engine.

The festival also redefined his understanding of the limits of current bubble technology.

It was all a great way to let Miles have a Fourth of July experience, since we weren’t sure exactly how he’d respond to the fireworks later in the day (spoilers: it was with extreme indifference).
