After a long day of work, I made my evening intentions clear to Jaclyn — I was going to the comic shop. Due to the aforementioned day of work, I wasn’t able to get out the door before Miles got home from daycare. “Miles wants to go to the comic shop with you,” Jaclyn revealed as she entered the house.
“Yeah!” Miles agreed. “I want to go to the comic shop!”
After finishing my work, I was ready to head out on my brief trip. “Miles! Are you coming with me?”
Miles had evidently changed his tune. “No! You go all by yourself!” he declared.
Despite this affront, I brought back a surprise for him. It seemed like a fitting gift considering the monumental events of the day.
