Year 2, Day 92

There are some mornings where Jaclyn and I wake up to the sound of Miles crying through the baby monitor. While he tends to stop fussing as soon as one of us enters his room, it’s still a less than ideal way to end a peaceful slumber.

There are other mornings, however, that he wakes up singing — just joyfully, rhythmically babbling — which is the best alarm clock. We slowly awaken, realize that we’re hearing him sing, and suddenly everything is right with the world.

No matter the time of day, Miles’s singing is just a wonderful thing to listen to. Here’s a bit of his latest train-of-thought, sure-to-be-hit single, which he started singing in the car this afternoon.
