As old as Miles gets, and as much as he's growing and developing, there's something comforting about knowing that any time we go for a walk, no matter his age, he will eventually stop dead in his tracks and forlornly beg me to "carry him the rest of the way." I did not carry him.

We went out for a nice family walk this evening. And by "nice," I of course mean Miles had a disagreement about the direction we were going and planted his ass on the ground in protest. "Bye, Miles! We're going home!"
