Friday nights are for kicking a few drinks back over pizza with your main man.
Jaclyn is on a weekend trip to a (get this) silent yoga spa*, which means Miles and I deviated just a tad from his normal bedtime routine tonight and, instead of reading a story, opted to watch some monster truck videos. At one point, I wanted to acknowledge the actual people driving the trucks, since … Continue reading Year 5, Day 160
Jaclyn had to go out of town for work today, leaving Miles and I free to have a highly-anticipated "Guys' Night." After finishing his swim class, I asked him what he wanted for dinner -- fried shrimp or Bojangles. Yes, Miles actually decided to try eating my face last night. What can I say -- the kid is hyped for the new football season!
Mommy: "Well I'm going out for a little bit. Make sure Miles goes potty and takes a nap." (Miles and Daddy watch Mommy drive away.) Daddy: "Time for popcorn and DuckTales."
When Miles emerged from the car after arriving home from daycare this afternoon, he immediately notified me that we would be taking a walk to the fire station. "Daddy!" he shouted. "Walk to fire station!" And, well, so we did.
